Where to download The Compressonator? - posted in Fallout 4 Creation Kit and Modders: I just found out today that normal and specular maps for Fallout 4 are supposed to be saved in BC5 format. I also read that the GIMP DDS plugin doesnt save to that format in the way that Fallout 4 expects. I dont have Photoshop, so it seems that The Compressonator is what I need to use for saving to BC5. An updated version of the Creation Kit for Fallout 4 has been publicly released for download for free on the Bethesda.net launcher following the closed beta. It can only be used by owners of the PC version of the game. More information can be found on the Creation Kit wiki.

- Multilanguage audiotracks in game videos were removed & then are losslessly installing on user’s machine based on user’s language selection. So, technically game videos aren’t MD5 perfect, but both video & audio for every language are untouched. Just no multitracks, so you can install & play one language at a time
- All other files are 100% Lossless & MD5 Perfect: they are identical to originals after installation
- Selective download feature – you can download only language files/animated menu background video you need
- Significantly smaller archive size (compressed from cumulative 60.2 to 20.5~21.1 GB for any single language)
